Dear Valued parkrunners,
Update on Sasolburg Stadium parkrun Changes
Thank you for participating in our recent survey. After careful consideration and discussions with parkrun Head Office, we're pleased to announce the following decisions:
No Changes:
- Start time remains 8:00 AM (parkrun Head Office restrictions apply)
- Waterpoint refreshments will continue
- Music at moderate levels
- Daily inspirational "Thought for TODAY..." will continue
New Initiatives:
- Bi-weekly parkrun themes (fun, non-burdensome)
- "Invite a Friend" weekends (every 2nd and 4th weekend)
Route Update:
- Reversing the route is not permitted by parkrun rules
- Designing an alternative single-lap route, unaffected by large athletics events
- Collaboration with landlords and Stadium Management underway
- Risk assessment and video submission to parkrun UK pending
